Belleville Plant Closes

It didn’t last long.  Tough economic times have claimed a small plant in Belleville.
Rice processor, ANR Foods, closed the doors on it’s 38 thousand square foot facility last Friday.  The company is in receivership, effecting some 10 employees.
ANR Foods, which was located on Jamieson Bone Road, opened recently, in June of last year.
The company, originally from Pakistan, has 2 other plants, one in Sweden, and another in Alberta, which are said to be also closing.

   The company in Sweden went into receivership
   fall 2009. Owes a lot of money to the bank and has
   a debt of 110 million swedish kronor.
