Belleville Police Put Brakes on Auto Break ins

Belleville Police have made some progress against a recent rash of car break ins in the city.
During their focus on auto theft in various parts of the city, police have arrested 6 suspects on a variety of charges, and the number of incidents has decreased.  In the past month, there have been over 100 car break ins reported in Belleville.
Police warn people that thieves are likely to be more active during the Christmas shopping season, and that people should always lock their vehicles, and not leave valuables in plain sight.
