Every year in San Diego a huge comic/video game convention is on for a week. There’s the good, bad and ugly costumes….but here are some really good ones!

Today on the Morning Show, three ladies who want to travel to Guatemala and make a difference with Habitat for Humanity! Megan Moses, Krista Rappel and the local Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Melanie Flynn are ready to go and build houses for those less fortunate than us.
“This is an amazing opportunity. I kept feeling like I needed to give
back in some way and Habitat for Humanity has given me that opportunity –not only by welcoming me to help out with the local affiliate, but also by empowering me to take action and join the trip to Guatemala. I think it will be a life changing experience” - Megan Moses
They will be in Guatemala October 9-24th, and in the meantime they need our help to get them there! Between now and August 10th, the girls must raise the funds needed to cover their in-country expenses and airfare. Also, all donations made to these committed women will be receipted by Habitat for Humanity. Here’s what they have planned so far:
Krista Rappel will be hosting two charity BBQ’s at TSC on Dundas Street on July 23rd and August 6th from 11am – 2pm.
Yard sale on July 31st from 8-1 at 43 Victoria Avenue.
AND
Krista will also be hosting a roast beef dinner buffet at the Dugout (Dundas St E/Haig Rd.) on Aug 8th at 6pm. The cost is $10 per person with $5 of the proceeds going towards Habitat for Humanity and the Global Village Build! On the menu will be a a delicious roast beef, veggies, mashed
potatoes and gravy and dinner rolls. Drinks are additional. Spots are

The Bull and Boar will be supporting Megan Moses on Thursday August 5th. $1.00 from every entrée sold will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. 613-966-1874
